Matrix Homes (“we,” “our,” “us”) values your right to privacy and data protection.
This Data Deletion Policy explains how users can permanently delete their personal data and user accounts from our platform in accordance with the Data Protection Act [Chapter 11:12] (2021) of Zimbabwe and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Matrix Homes is operated by Matrix Private Investigations and Security Company (Pvt) Ltd, together with its child and affiliated companies.
1. Your Right to Delete Your Data
All registered users — including Agents, Agencies, and general users — have the right to request deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time.
When an account is deleted:
- All personal data (name, email, profile photo, and credentials) are permanently removed from our systems.
- Listings, messages, and other related data linked to the account will also be irreversibly deleted.
- Once deletion is complete, data cannot be restored or recovered.
2. How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly through your Matrix Homes profile.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to your Matrix Homes account at https://matrixhomeszw.com.
- Go to your Profile section.
- Click on Account Settings.
- Select “Delete My Account”.
- Confirm your decision by clicking “Yes, Permanently Delete”.
Important:
Once you confirm, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
This action is final and irreversible.
3. Alternative Deletion Method (By Request)
If you’re unable to access your account or wish to request deletion manually, you may contact our support team:
Please include:
- Your registered name and email address
- A short note requesting full account deletion
We may verify your identity to ensure the security of your data before completing the deletion.
All verified deletion requests are processed within 7 business days.
4. Post-Deletion Handling
After deletion:
- All personal data are permanently erased from our live systems and user databases.
- Backup copies (if any) will be automatically purged during our routine 30-day system maintenance cycle.
- Transactional or compliance records may be retained only where legally required (e.g., financial or anti-fraud obligations).
